Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a surprising collaboration that challenges traditional forecasts, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of banned ceremonies and monstrous changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine sect.
The adventure centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
